The Legend
In 1910 a paddle steamer called the Emeraude was offering unforgettable cruises in Halong Bay for visitors to what was then French Indochina. The Emeraude was part of a flotilla owned by the Roque family who had left Bordeaux in 1858 in search of adventure and fortune. Over a period of more than 50 years they found both. After several ups and downs including successful trading and timber businesses, near bankruptcy and being taken hostage by pirates, the Roque brothers built Emeraude, Perle, Saphir, Rubis and Onyx to ferry passengers and freight along the waterways of Indochina and cruise on magnificent Halong Bay.
Today the Emeraude offers a regular cruise service on board a luxurious replica steamer with 38 cabins meticulously designed to evoke the nostalgic charm of colonial Indochina.

The Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi - Halong Bay - Emeraude Cruise (Lunch/Dinner)
Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi and drive to Halong Bay in a private car.
Check-in between 11h30 to 12h00 at Emeraude Café, Halong City.
Refreshing cocktail upon boarding.
Buffet lunch in restaurant.
Visit Sung Sot Cave (Cave of Surprise) weather permitting.
Vietnamese cuisine demonstration at the sun deck.
Happy hour with complimentary canapés at the sun deck bar.
International buffet dinner in restaurant.
Movie on the  sun deck or in the restaurant
Overnight on cruise.

Day 2: Emeraude Cruise - Halong Bay - Hanoi (Breakfast)
Early moring-07.00: Attend in a Tai chi course to relax yourself in the early morning of Orient or wake up early to see Sunrise.
07.00-09.00: The Emeraude sail once again through the breathtaking scenery of Halong Bay heading for Halong city, it is your time to take breakfast at the Emeraude restaurant.
Check-out around 09h30 at Emeraude Café, Halong City. Pick up by our car.
10.00 till afternoon: Many options satisfied your travel need. Either drive back to your hotel in Hanoi or Airport; Travel around Halong city and Tuan Chau island; or take one of following Discover Vietnam Culture tours: Bat Trang Pottery village (near Hanoi), Dau Pagoda or But Thap Pagoda.
