Night tourist train Hanoi - Lao Cai (no meals)
Own arrangement transfer from your hotel to Hanoi Station for night tourist train

Day 1
Lao Cai station – Can Cau Saturday Market - Bac Ha (B/L/D)
Arrive in early morning at LaoCai station.
Be welcomed from our local guide, transfer to Can Cau market. On the way, enjoy your breakfast at local restaurant. It takes more than 2 hours to get to Can Cau - a small market situated in a valley surrounded by mountains and only 7 km from China. The market deeply shows the typical cultural features of the minorities in remote mountainous areas in Vietnam. Further more, you can enjoy seeing boys and girls in colorful costumes - different colors of the mountains. They attend the market in the hope of finding "the other halves of their lives" and this is also the time for them to chat, to exchange everything among different ethnic peoples through cups of wine sold in the market. Say goodbye to the market and drive via Bac Ha. On the way, spend time visiting a village of the Flower H'mong

Day 2
Bac Ha Sunday Market – Chay river - Sapa (B/L)
7.00am: Visit Bac Ha market (on Sunday morning only), a real attraction in this hinterland. The market visiting is followed by a short trek (6km) around Banpho village inhabited by the flower H'Mong, to which magnificent views is worth being given. Lunch at local restaurant
PM: we will continue to drive to Sapa. En-route, stop to see Trung Do village of the Tay people, then take part in the boat trip along beautiful Chay river.

Day 3
Sapa – Cat Cat – Ylinh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van - Homestay (B/L/D)
Breakfast at your hotel.
3 km driving then 1km walking down to Catcat, here is the home of Hmong, enjoy a water Fall, an old hydro power station built by Friend
12 km of trekking, visit Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages of the H’mong minority. after lunch at a local family in Lao Chai or in a drinking shop nearby the river bank, we keep on hiking to Ta Van village of the Dzay where we stay overnight in a local family. Here you have opportunity to experience their daily life, work and original custom.
With your tour guide and the house owners, we will set up a temporary cooking class to learn how to cook Vietnamese food for dinner.

Dinner and home-stay at the Dzay local house
Day 4
Sapa – Silver Fall – Tran ton Pass – Tam Duong – Lao Cai station (B/L)
You will start early after your breakfast to drive 12km up hill to the biggest Sapa Silver Water Fall, Stop to do 400m walking up to see the fall.
Keep driving 3 km up hill to Hoang Lien national park, spending 1 hour walking around the park then you have another chance to enjoy the Fall for Lovers.
On the way you will pass the highest road in Vietnam named Heavens Gate, where you will make a stop and enjoy the views from the pass.
Upon arrival in Binh Lu (if the weather permits), you can drive into a dirt road which leads to the hidden valleys inhabited by Lu and Nhang ethnic minorities. There is opportunity to visit some of villages on the way, witnessing their skill in embroidery. Lunch at local restaurant in Tam Duong.
You will then visit the local market, gather by the ethnic minority of Black Thai, Coin Dao before transfer to the LaoCai station for a tourist night train back Hanoi, Livitrans carriage SP8 (19.30-04.30+1) wooden 4 berth sharing compartment
Overnight train.
You will arrive Hanoi station the next morning, self arrangement taxi to your hotel (ends)
